| The facelift operation
is designed to modify the changes of the aging
face and neck, it is technically referred to as
rhytidectomy. These procedures also can be combined
with plastic surgery of the eyelids and forehead.
In addition to the skill of the surgeon, the patient’s
realistic expectations about the results of the
surgery and his/her general emotional state are
important considerations. Mental attitude is as
important as the ability to heal in evaluating
candidates for facial plastic surgery.
Recently there is a trend towards conservatism
and convenience. "S" lifting, which
is also called "small incision facelift",
or "weekend lift". This is a simpler
procedure with less complications, but still yields
impressive results. In our practice 75% of facelifts
